PG EMPOWERS - The Saturday Seminars
PG EMPOWERS is an innovative seminar programme designed to expand the working knowledge of existing UK film and TV industry practitioners. The one day seminars delivered on Saturdays over a period of six months will improve both personal and professional business acumen, awareness and understanding of current legislation and emerging technologies within the UK film industry.
In addition we aim to provide a forum where a code of best practice can be evolved in the areas where these professionals operate.
Seminar Topics will be:
Financing models for film production September 2008
Tax breaks and Cultural Test October 2008
New Technologies November 2008
Tax does not need to be taxing January 2009
VAT Personal and Professional January 2009
Contract Law January 2009
Health & Safety February 2009
Funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund and based at Pinewood Studios and Central London Venues. PG EMPOWERS will run on Saturdays from September 2008 - February 2009.

PG PROGRESS - Production Accounting II
THE DEVELOPMENT STRAND
FOR TOMORROW'S PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANTS
Following the great success of the pilot PG PROGRESS - Production Accounting Programme, we now invite applications from established film and TV Key Assistant Accountants who are keen to progress to the next level of their careers as Production Accountants.
PG PROGRESS - ACCOUNTS II is an individually tailored programme of professional development covering the essential disciplines of the film production accountant role. Delivered through short courses and interactive coaching from the cream of the UK's Production Accounting talent, PG PROGRESS - Production Accounting will ensure that those selected will fast-track to work as Production Accountants in the British Film Industry.
So if you have a minimum of three, professional credits in a Key Assistant role and have been thinking about making the move to Production Accountant, PG PROGRESS - Accounting has been set up for you.

Following the great success of the pilot PG Progress - Production Management Programme, we now invite applications from established film and TV drama Co-ordinators, Location Managers and 1st and 2nd Assistant Directors who are keen to progress to the next level of their careers as Production Managers.
PG PROGRESS is an individually tailored programme of professional development covering the essential disciplines of the film production management role. Delivered through short courses and personal coaching from the cream of the UK's physical production management talent, PG PROGRESS will ensure that those selected will fast-track to work as PMs in the British Film Industry.
So if you have a minimum of three, professional credits in a production office, floor or locations capacity, and have been thinking about making the move into production management, PG PROGRESS has been made for you.
