Total Solutions Group are a rigging company of which their training arm, Total Training, provides rigging training for the industry. They have provided training in partnership with BECTU including the Duchess Theatre, London, 2006, a workshop at the BECTU Theatre Festival, May 2007 and a two day rigging course in Birmingham in October 2007. We have held more than 300 3 day courses since 1998 both in the UK and overseas.
Courses are held in the 200 square metres dedicated training area at the Birmingham site. This ensures participants obtain the benefit of training in a controlled environment. For venue staff we can provide training at the customer's site. (Please contact us for details)
The course includes the responsibilities of individuals, the safe use of typical equipment and techniques involved in lifting and rigging safely in the entertainment industry.
Facts and figures
1. Our training courses have been running regularly since 1998.
2. More than 2000 certificates have been issued since then.
3. Over 2500 people have attended our training in the UK and overseas.
4. Courses are specifically designed for the needs of the entertainment industry drawing on over 30 years of day to day experience.
5. Total Training is an approved rigging training provider for the Production Services Association (PSA) and is a member of PLASA, PSA and the ABTT.
6. We have provided rigging, work at height and hoist training for companies in the UK and overseas including Holland, Israel, Iceland, India, Portugal, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore.
