Helping individual members

It could be said that the role of the ULR is to find out what learning and skills people at work want and then helping them access it. This section will give you some ideas and resources for the 'finding out' part.

Where do you start?

Helping individual members to find out what is available is called 'signposting' and this is a key part of the ULR role. 'Signposting' doesn't mean the ULR has to know about course content or the track record of colleges and universities - it means just what it says, using this site or other sources of information to invite members to find out more by giving them an idea where to look. So how do you start?
